Kasteel Genoels-Elderen CHARDONNAY GOUD

Intense warm yellow gold color with high viscosity. A rich bouquet with full flavors of ripe apple, apricot, clarified butter and candied lemon peel. A firm attack with lots of finesse, wonderful fruit, fatty with a well integrated refined wood savor and an amazing complex finish.

A full-bodied wine that can take on many dishes such as goose-liver, poultry (guinea fowl, chicken, partridge and quail) with creamy sauces, white meat with mushrooms or truffle and soft cheeses.

All our wines are bottled at the Castle and are for sale as supplies last.



TECHNICAL: Yield <30hl/ha, Chardonnay picked from the oldest vines and the most favorable locations after a long and severe selecting preparation. Only first pressing. Fermentation and maturing on lees are entirely in French oak barrels with bâtonnage. 30% to 50% new oak.

AWARDS: medals Chardonnay du Monde and Concours Mondial, gold medal Best Belgian Wine, silver Limburg Wijn.
